Mobile learning has
been talked about for at least ten years, but is only now becoming a realistic
possibility. That is because the technological advances needed for new
innovative applications are just now coming on stream.
As well, after the
first wave of posting text materials to small screens showed the limitations
of using mobile devices for traditional content, new approaches and applications
of mobile learning that use the unique characteristics of mobile devices
to their full advantage are finally moving it to the next stage of development.
These new approaches include mobile gaming, augmented reality, location
based services, collaboration, and mobile performance support.
Join Dr. Gary
Woodill as he explores this new world of mobile learning, and
find out how you can use it in employee training.
